I know you're not a very political guy but we could use some more people like you in political commentary and reporting, you really went no holds barred on this. Probably one of the most tough interviews I've seen, and outside of gaming I spend most of my time interested in politics, and your interviews put the average political candidate interview to shame. I know most of these comments are going to be memeing Susan (rightfully so), but I just want to say that you have been probably the single best ambassador for the youtube gaming community and the youtube community as a whole and thank you so much for that. Keep up the amazing work man!

MatPat was almost completely perfect in the interviewing here. Im surprised he was even allowed to ask a lot of these questions. But Susan dodged EVERY single question just by avoiding the larger issues that MatPat tried to bring up. It was kinda frustrating to watch

Do you think we could get a couple of our contributing animation and artist community members up in that seat? Or at least have them mentioned? Because those kind of communities seem to be hurting the most. Most are having their content being either fined for millions of dollars per handful of videos or demonetized and incomes being cut back for having animations and colorful or bright content that are not kid friendly or for targeting the kid communities. Even gamers are being targeted for playing things as simple as happy wheels for the “child appealing” traits, such as color and animation. Censorship’s are a huge thing as well! And what about the animation remakes on multiple of our committed animating channels! What about the bots responsible for all the demonetized, fined, and disabled youtuber’s? What about our streams where people’s channels and google accounts are being disabled and denied restoration because they span a few emojis on a stream live chat? What about the youtubers being punished and reported for playing a game that isn’t safe for children? What about the neglect to all the artists being overflowed by the stereotypical Gacha creators (the ones who are bullying other youtubers in immature ways kind of stereotypes, **not** the amazing editors out there who make you forget that it’s gacha and make it look almost like they hand drew the animation or the ones who make actual viewer-appropriate stories). Even if she is sincere, her will is poorly implemented by bad algorithms that should be impartial, but have human errors inside them.

What it seemed to me was Susan Wojcicki wanted to basically use this interview to talk about set points SHE had pre-decided on regardless of what questions would be asked, which is usual for politicians who answer by not answering, she just didn't do it very well. The painful stuttering, um's and long pauses after each question as she looks for a way to sidestep the question and bring it round to what she actually wanted to talk about was frustrating and irritating to watch. The violence question was an excellent example of this. She wanted to publicly say that advertisers are happy to work with gamers and praise YT's ability to attract advertisers, so she ignored the actual question of what do Gamers do if the summer hit is a violent game and should there be different rules when it comes to virtual violence. If She actually cared to engage the interview would have been scheduled for a full hour and would have actually given direct answers to the questions not round the houses YT praise. I donk think she expected Mat to be so well informed, prepared and in control. I doubt he will be invited to interview her again. TLDR: Susan Wojcicki basically stumbled through what sounded like a pitch speech designed sell and praise YT to a board of investors, rather than answering any actual question she put to her.

A better response to the first question would of been as ceo of INclip I have gotten extremely familiar with a huge part of are platforms

Then she proceeds telling them that they work hard and all that want to make a community etc. etc. Like what part about that answers the question... I wish Theorist's would get Netflix patronage. I think it's time for a new platform honestly, if a huge chunk of your viewership has only just in the last 4yrs gotten it's own team and investment, it tells us that they think games and gamer creators are a fluke or passing trend. They certainly don't seem to want to give too much attention to it, treating it like the unintended guest at the table. The only industry that really rivals gaming is the beauty industry and that's only because of the quick change/turnover in trends.(and the frigging kardashians ffs) So why is the community so often overlooked? They don't care and can't be bothered to hire those who understand and would facilitate growth. Maybe? I dunno...just rambling I guess.
